ok la...i also dun like to engage in such debates, all i wanted
is to make this forum constructive and beneficial to bowlers that
dunno much abt the bowling market. but i hav to defend my stands
since i am the one that provide the info and a established bowler
comes to say i am bullshitting.
anyway, besides good arsenal, of cos you must be competent and
constant in your skill, with constant skill and release, pro ball
driller will be able to map your arsenals to different conditions,
and with this by just understanding lane conditions and changing
your ball accordingly, you will definitely get high games, even
perfect game, as a perfect game is simply a consistent release with
the right ball for that right lane. However, simple as it sounds,
it is never simlpe to accomplish, as not many bowler can have
extremely consistent release.
anyway a good arsenal may not be all the high end expensive balls,
i hav a national bowler that has a "tornado warning" in his
arsenal, all of us know it is a cheap entry level ball, but he
needs this ball when the lane's backend is extremely strong, if he
use any other high end balls it would have been too strong and
overhook in such lane conditions. so it is not just high end balls
that rules, it is matching your balls to the lanes.
well, dun need to go too far, singapore national youth are all
trained to have an arsenal, you will see some of them bowling fr
time to time. and this new generation is different from the older
ones, they uses technology more. So if u interested can go see them
play.
