do u guys signal when u r on a left/right turn oni lane? is there a need to signal in such cases? i always do, but see a lot of other cars queueing up not doing dat.... Rolling Eyes

Changing Lane without Signalling = $70 summon

BEtter signal to be safe, is better to take the extra step to depress or lift ur signal handle then reaching into ur pocket to take out the $$$ to pay the fine! Wink Mr. Green

i posed this question to my driving instructor once and he said 'yes' but i also see a lot of cars especially taxis not signalling leh. i mean these lanes are strictly for left/right turns so why must be signal?

yep... tis is sometink new to me too.... if its true, i'll signal no matter wat.... Mr. Green $70 can get me 1 full tank of petrol nowadays...

Heh actually i heard of this rule from a manager of mine ... he kena actually for speeding ... original fine was 120 and 3 points .. but after some beggin and stuff the officer summoned him 70 for changing lanes without signal .. and i saw the summon ticket i was like what the hell Rolling Eyes

i dun think signalling is needed for turnning lane ...
sometime there may be 2 turning right lane
and if u re on the outer side u signal pples may tought u wan to cut into the inner lane so it cause some misunderstanding

singal is for changing lane, n for those lane dat hve go straight / go right arrow so as to alert the car behind u intend to turn instead of going straight

if u re oredi inside the turning lane i see no pt in signalling....

I personally think it's better to signal... when u wanna turn right from a big junction, u think u're in the turn right lane so no need to signal, the cars coming from opposite cannot see if u r in the turning lane esp. at night, all he can see are headlights all over the place. If he knows u are turning at least he can be prepared in case u dash across without checking properly, same thing for the pedestrians crossing the road, at least they know this car is turning.

Signalling is better irregardless of lane i feel, when u wan to turn u should signal. Dun let other people guess....not every guy checks the arrow on the floor...

U think i thought who confirm.. ASSUME.. makes a ASS out of U and ME

Staying at a lane with either left or right lane,i think is up to individual whether they want to turn the signal on.To me, i dun on the signal cos i find
the "tick tick" sound irritating.
For lane that can either go straight and turn,i think its better to signal to warn the vehicles behind.To me, i only turn the signal on when there is vehicle behind cos i really hate the sound man... Wink

Signalling is not only for the cars behind you but also the cars and pedestrains in front of you.

That's why you need to signal even though you are in a "turn only" lane.

For me,i signal when i see the need...like pedestrain infront,vehicle behind..etc
