The first of ten matches coming up this weekend, with Newcastle
hosting Chelsea at St. James’ Park. Last season, the Magpies beat
the Blues 3-2 at the same stadium thanks to two second goals from
their midfielder Moussa Sissoko. Newcastle led 1-0 at half time but
goals from Lampard and Mata gave Chelsea a 2-1 lead before Sissoko
scored the two goals to win it for Newcastle.
Last Sunday, Newcastle suffered a 1-2 away defeat to their
rivals Sunderland in the Tyne-Wear derby by a late goal from
on-loan striker Fabio Borini. Chelsea, on the other hand, beat
Manchester City 2-1 thanks to a last-minute goal from Fernando
Torres, his first Premier League goal of the season and his first
Premier League goal in 2013.
