evoMR79 SG Was wondering where are the roads suitable to test cars? Preferably one with relatively light traffic, with good road condition and most importantly, safe from TP. LCK area was good till the TP starting patroling that area regularly.
saab95 SG No place is safe from the TP. GO NORTH, fines are cheap and no demerit points. U should be able to see the max speed ur ride can achieve.....to me this is more interesting than 0-100 km/hr timings. Also the all important mid-range acceleration tests can be conducted.....i.e from 110km/hr to 200km/hr then on to 220km/hr and then whatever your car can reach flat out.......all these can only be done up North without fear of losing liscense.
no_speeding SG last week new paper juz report a motorist got 8 summons on one trip up north to KL... for ur consideration... Errrm...juz a thought, if we have to find a place 'safe' to utilize the performance bracket mentioned, what difference would it make if we dun try it at all?!
saab95 SG Actually for us more seasoned drivers, we have already mapped out the location of the spycams These are unmanned and mounted under the bridge.....one trip, I deliberately drove slowly all the way just to check which bridges have such a mounting Key these locations into the GPS. For the spot checks, there are a few regular hotspots, the lazy bums do not venture far from their favourite haunts. 8 tickets if because he is a green horn......if u want to utilise the performance bracket of a high performance vehicle, u have got to pay school fees sometimes

[email protected] SG well i stay west, so i usually use the area around west coast mac n fong seng. its a short drive to 99, and there are several stretches wide, long n straight. u can hit 160 there b4 u do the U turns linking both directions.
