A branch manager of Yamato Holdings Co., a leading door-to-door
parcel delivery company, was arrested on suspicion of paying for
sex with a minor, it was learned Tuesday.
According to police, Naoyuki Emi paid a 17-year-old part-time
worker 5,000 yen for sex in his car at a parking lot in Sagamihara,
Kanagawa Prefecture, in early December.
Emi, 49, became acquainted with the girl two years ago through a
mobile phone dating Web site when she was a third-year student at
middle school. He called her once or twice a month and had sex with
her in exchange for amounts ranging from 2,000 yen to 5,000 yen,
the police said.
