I've been reading with interest on the cut off points system in
the poly and well I have this advice to all deciding on which
course...
1) Decide on a course you know can bring you somewhere at the end
of three years
2) Decide on this course if you know you can foresee yourself doing
this in the next five to ten years
3) Decide on the course you know will have a future (financial
services, IT, banking... these are industries that are
sound...)
If you think you can't make it based on the cut off points, but
still want it that course badly, you'll go all out for it. If not,
you didn't want it that bad. So live cautiously but also be bold...
go for the thing you want, that you see a future in... don't be
detered by the barriers and limitations of the system, after all
the cut off points were for last year and there are many factors
that can affect these points, it might just work well in your
favour.
It's interesting to see how many new courses there are and what's
available. The world's your oyster now but the choices you make
now, you'll have to live with the consequences later on, so make
them good choices and go get your dreams. Pragmatic reading for a
lazy Sunday afternoon but all the best to the ones who have to make
those choices.
