The birds have vanished into the
sky
And now the last cloud drains
away.
We sit together the mountain and
me,
Until only the mountain
remains.”
众鸟高飞尽,
孤云独去闲。
相看两不厌,
只有敬亭山。
-青蓮居士 (701 – 762). Born in Central Asia
in Kazakhstan, his poems as his name became immortal as China’s
greatest romantic through his great love of wines and childlike
fantasies, along being an accomplished swordsman. As a friend, he
was generous and gave all his wealth to friends who were needy, but
because of his straightforward character, he antagonized a powerful
eunuch and was banished from the Emperor’s court and exiled as a
bohemian wanderer into nature’s beauty. While catching the image of
the moon in the waters, he drowned to his death; or perhaps due to
mercury poisoning. He is better known
as李白.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't know Li Bai died so tragically.
