SINGAPORE: Water sports enthusiasts can look forward
to a new recreational facility in Marina Bay by
2014.
The latest water-venture outlet by the People's
Association will cater to all types of water sports from kayaking
to dragon-boating.
The facility will sit on about one hectare of land
at the northern tip of the Gardens by the Bay, providing visitors
with a boat-side view of Singapore's latest downtown
attractions.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Sunday and labour chief Lim
Swee Say watched on as hundreds of residents enjoyed a day out on
the waters.
