SnowFlag SG Hi, I don't drive. But I am asking for a friend. May I know if the car engine goes major overhaul? I know motorcycle goes major overhaul every year. But car? My friend wanted to know how a car engine look like. So it is good if got photo of the car engine taken out out of the car. Thanks in advance.

jiayong SG no need to overhaul lah....unless your car is more than 10 yrs old and u intend to keep it for another 10.... nowadays with the High parf value and COE and stuff....pple often scrap their cars before 10 yrs.....definitely no need to overhaul.
Praetorian111 SG Major overhaul is more for cars that are above a certain age. like more than ten yrs as stated by JY. It is sort of restoring the engine back to it's orginal performance. For Eg, clearing up some major breath ways. An overhaul done will actually helps to give that extra gains that is lost due to various factors... I recommend that you give it to your mechanic and he will advise you on the issue....
