In the New Paper, it was said that the traffic light camera down
the slope (about 100m away from the junction) could have
caused the accident. Residents living along the road said that this
is the reason why accidents occur frequently. Motorists cannot spot
the camera in advance as they speed down the slope. By the time
they see it, they start to lock their brakes.
In response, Mr Gerrard Ee has said that warning signs would be
installed, but the speed camera would remain.
