Terminology for and within Forum
"Forum" shall refer to the International Railways Forum.
"Forumer" shall refer to a user posting in the International
Railways Forum.
"IRF" shall be the short form of International Railways Forum
and can be used interchangeably with the full term "International
Railways Forum".
Purpose of Forum
The Forum is for posting information pertaining to all railways
EXCEPT the Singapore RTS, Sentosa Monorail and Changi Skytrain.
These info should only be seen when stating examples, or when
organising outings. All other discussion on these topics should be
done in the Singapore
Trains forum.
For New Forumers
We would appreciate if you chould do a short introduction of
yourself here so that all of us can know a bit more about
you.
No spamming or clones allowed here. Constructive questions
only.
Other than official acronyms, please do not contribute your own
jargons.
KTM Antarabandar, the Singapore-Kranji Railway, the Singapore
Steam Tramways and the Singapore Electric Tramways, and any other
railways prior to any name change predating the first Mass Rapid
Transit line planned by the Land Transport Authority, are not
considered to be part of the Singapore RTS.
Forum Etiquette
All forumers shall have respect for one another. Respect must be
earned, not granted.
Trolling and/or flaming is strictly prohibited. If you need to
speak to a person who has upset you, intentionally or otherwise,
please use the Private Message system.
No political and/or religious topics are tolerated within the
IRF.
Spamming is prohibited. This includes unconstructive posts,
unnecessary bumping of threads and multiple threads of the same
topic. Multiple threads means more than one (1).
Advertising is strictly prohibited, unless it relates to an
existing relevant topic. It should be posted within a topic only.
New advertising threads will be deleted with the exception of any
Announcement threads posted by sgForums Administrators.
No illegal activities shall be discussed. This includes anything
that breaks a law in the country the act was committed.
No activities within any restricted railway premise may be
elaborated, even with the permission of railway staff.
A Forumer shall be addressed by his Username within the Forum.
This is to prevent posting personal details which the other party
may not consent to. Example: A user Qwerty123 shall be addressed as
Qwerty123, or a short form which is agreed upon, officially or
otherwise (eg. Qwerty), and not by Bob Tan, his real name.
Disclaimer
This readme may be updated from time to time. This is also
considered to be Forum Rules. Should any disputes arise, the final
decision must be a unanimous consensus between all moderators.
