Another contribution from me....
Dream by the passing lane
-------------------------
Nothing but a cold and chilling nite
upon the soft bed there I lie,
Tired and exhausted almost to die,
closed and forgotten are my eyes.
My senses gone and slumber dominates,
Was I asleep or was I awake?
Only when the world changed colour,
Remaining only fascinating images
which eternally invaded me
in body, heart and soul.
Was it a calm wind by the passing lane,
Beyond all, a mansion seen above the hills,
prompting me to cross the mill,
In curosity, I followed,
with an inner voice telling me
that someone was waiting there for me.
In the mansion, there I search,
through endless dimensions and doors,
finally, I heard a familiar voice,
Shes there, my heart beat rapidly,
That cannot be, my mind debated clearly,
I must enter, my soul coerced every part of me.
Shes there and she walked forward to me,
only a simple remark that surprised me :
Why have you come so late to pick me?
Puzzled and shocked,
I still held her hand
and then we left.
Was it her voice which comfort me,
or was it that feeling of love in me.
But I thought she was to be forgotten,
to be faded off my mind forever
in order to ease my pain
Why is there a hundred and eighty degrees change?
Why was the dream so seductive
as to surpass and dominate
every whim of my thoughts.
What an enchanting world it was,
I wish I was there forever.
The passing lane went on in sight,
and was there that interminable spark of light.
Till that blinding light faded,
What was before me,
was a world of harsh reality,
that scorned my beautiful dream
with sheerless sarcasm and hopeless air.
Everything was still there
and nothing was changed.
