anyone knows how often? so far they never check when i pass through the custom.

So far, I only gets checks 1 out of 10 times.

I remember my last time, I went in at ½ tank. Gonna stop and check. The officer ask why only ½ tank? Luckily my 18mth old son is sleeping. I say that my son is sleeping and then he say no more next time and let me go.... Laughing

at the tuas checkpoint, you WON'T get checked 1 in 10 times.

but in my opinion, if you cannot afford to pay for petrol, then don't bother to buy a car. else you will end up paying huge fines. Just like the case of the guy who was shot in the head at wong ah fook SHELL. He was a singaporean who went to pump at JB one too many times.

He got shot and died days later in the hospital.

There was once my friend's dad went in with 1/4 tank and got caught ... then kena interviewed ... they held him there for 2 hours man! Shocked

every car was checked yesterday at tuas...my meter was faulty but i had more than 3/4. but they say they didnt care and just slapped me with a $50 fine...

Please don’t take the risk. My friend told me that they have some sort of devices at the checkpoint which can correctly detect your fuel tank level. Most of the time they just close one eye or let you go if it is not too much.

i hate it when people say sarcastic thing like "got money buy car why no money to buy petrol"....this is what policemen (also what i used to say) say when they summon people, e.g., "got money buy car no money to buy coupons"....

actually, most singaporeans have money to buy car....but not much left after paying for COEs, TAXes, petrol, insurance, double seasoned parking tickets, etc.

the fellow kena shot at petrol kiosk in Malaysia because he was driving Honda (hot listed car in Malaysia)....some more he is in one of the 10 most hot listed major crime areas.....

just ask yourself...how many things we have to carry in our mind as a Singaporean ..... for example:-
1) sunday night:- remember to top up cash card
2) wake up and remind ourselves to remember to bring cash card
3) which routes should i use today?
4) rush to beat the ERP (< 7:30am)
5) have i inserted the cash card?

stress man!!!!

even when we wanna go malaysia also kena 'restricted' by fines!!!!! *sigh*

even my car loan initially was ABN also kena hijacked by DBS...

Dude..... if u confirm there is such amt of petrol in the tank then ask him to check using a device lor..... they will put a rod inside ur fuel tank to gauge lor.....
But wat it done is already done... just treat it as an amt to ur rims and seats bills lor.... Mr. Green Wink

i asked them to check..i even cleared my boot space and carpet exposing the top of the fuel tank to them...but they say they just dont do that anymore....too bad.

Should have asked for their name and identification. Then lodge a complaint. You are law-abiding, we taxpayers are paying their salaries okie. Evil or Very Mad

FYI, there are garages which tamper the fuel gauges...

don't blame the fellas for doing their jobs... for a fact, i know they hate doing that too..
