the question is: can Portsmouth stay, or will Man Utd retain its title.( without beckham).
Portsmouth has a good manager in Harry Redknapp...should be able to hang on to at least a season. It's hard to say which team is capable to retain the Premiership title even cos in recent seasons the gap between the top 3-4 clubs has been narrowed since. Whoever remain the most consistent thruout the season will definitely has the upper hand. A sense of belief that runs tru the club and a healthy squad help too.

can liverpool steer a top three spot, with the signing of Steve Finnan?
Or can Everton Maintain its Top 6 position next season??
Hmmm... they could be even better defensively but offensive wise...they still lack that cutting edge....will probably see a offensive player coming in very soon. If they maintain a strong belief in themselves like during the first half of 02/03 season thruout this coming campaign...a top 3 placing is not hard.

lets move on to Aston Villa. Once a great fortress under the shaky hands of John Gregory( now theres a whole lawsuit following gregory..)
had Graham Taylor turned Aston villa from UEFA cup place contenders to a replica of the fishing town port of Grimsby Town?
The Bizzarre Teamwork between Olof Mellberg And Peter Enkleman that led to an amusing own goal seems to say the story.
Can David O'Leary Ressurect Aston Villa into the same Leeds Utd which edged pass Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle two seasons back?

No comments on Aston Villa....I just find their squad of players are a funny lot...weird to say the least, apart from Barry.

'O' Leary might not have loads of experience in the management level but he do have a knack of bringing out the best from players. At least will progress into the top half of the table.

but we did see the great potential on Harry Kewell, Stephen McPhail, Alan Smith and James Milner under the guidance of David O'Leary. the only reason to his sacking was the refusal to sell Rio Ferdinand to float Leeds' financial losses.

i feel that David's appointment as manager will see the nurturing of Mark Delaney, German Thomas Hitzlsperger and Johannes Gudjonsson into better players.

wats more, Leary has said that all unsettled players will get a fresh chance to prove themselves..(Happy now Alpay??)
But Jlloyd Samuel thinks otherwise
