Actually, there is not so much a difference if you learn how to
control the B45s. Are u using a B45 lyre or B45dot? The B45s feel
the same... as in your embouchure is not affected when u change
between B45 to another model of B45. I've never tried Lyre before,
but I know that the difference in the B45 and B45 dot lies in the
varying degrees of resistance. ie, ur airflow would be affected.
Not sure what Lyre does though... Jus consider... would it really
be necessary for you to go through all that trouble jus to get a
mouthpiece that is not so different? Also, give a mouthpiece a bit
more time... try it for a longer period before you pronounce a
death sentence on it.
Well, this is coming from someone who used to buy mouthpieces
rather flippantly when younger. This is only my perspective of
things though.
