SINGAPORE: 11 blocks of flats at Pasir Ris were hit by a 30-minute
power failure on Friday.
The latest blackout was relatively minor compared to Tuesday's
power failure that hit 300,000 homes around Singapore.
Authorities said the Pasir Ris blackout was caused by a trip at the
Pasir Ris substation.
Most affected residents at Pasir Ris Street 52 simply went outdoors
during the blackout.
They weren't too surprised after Tuesday's blackout that lasted up
to two hours in some areas.
There were some 200 children in a pre-school during the
blackout.
But a staff explained that as they had had power failures before,
the children weren't frightened.
