METALLICA Guitarist's House Now 20 Percent
Cheaper
METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett has yet to sell his Pacific
Heights, California house more than a year and a half after he
first put the home up for sale, according to a posting on Hammett's
realtors' web site. The Georgian Mansion whose asking price was
lowered to $10.5 million from the original $12.5 million boasts
9,519 square feet, nine bedrooms, seven full baths, three half
baths, a library, and a "billiard/family room," and includes "a
deep grassy garden and detached 2-car side-by-side garage." "The
gated motor court affords ample off-street parking. Faithfully
maintained and upgraded for more than a century, this property is
among a select handful of timeless classics...at one of the City's
very best locations."
