wuming78 SG oh.. u mus be 19 or 20? heh.. old enuff to carry arms but not to watch media for fear of being corrupted by it. isit mindless violence? u noe... violence r in almost all hollywood shows.. wats the diff betw this one and those (other than the violence in this being perpetrated using swords and knives)
Hellevate SG Hmmz.. I did watch it and I haf to say the show is really really unique!~ Think along the lines of 'Austin Powers' when it first came out.. that's how unique and different it was.. The way the story was presented, coupled with a smashing (and thoroughly appropriate soundtrack), will leave you drooling for Vol. 2 (if u happen to like the first one that is)
wuming78 SG i just watched it last nite. i must say it has quite a distinct quentin tarantino style. there isn’t exactly a plot. mabbe it will thicken in vol 2 when things get revealed. but the idea is rather new – i haven seen a movie totally about this shopping list massacre. but the editting and shots and chosen scenes were excellent – the close ups, the choice of black and white and using shadows, the choice of scene in the final showdown – red against white, the classic chinese gongfu “beauty” scene. alot of thought were put into these. but the movie could be slightly draggy at times despite its already short duration. and some of the effects were quite exaggerated – perhaps purposefully so. and the final fighting scene was abit short and not so clear as compared to the rest of the fights. tt was quite disappointing although somehow i expected that to happen. i would rate it 4 out of 5.
