Are you refering to our National Team Defender Daniel
Bennett??
Here's abit of him, Born in Great Yarmouth, England, Daniel Bennett
moved to Singapore with his family at age two.
It was not until 2002 that he gained Singapore citizenship though,
making his debut in a friendly against the Philippines ahead of the
Tiger Cup that year. The strong defender had a goal disallowed at
the National Stadium that day - an effort that he still maintains
was a legitimate goal.
Bennett made his debut for Tiong Bahru in the 1995 Premier League
season as a raw 17-year-old before turning out for Balestier
Central, Tanjong Pagar and SAFFC in the S.League, winning the
league's Player of the Year award in 2001. He also had a spell with
English league side AFC Wrexham in 2002.
