MRT annoucements and ads: irritating or essential?

last SG · 2004-05-09T04:51:29+00:00

so far when i dozed off, none of these ads can really wake me up..

www SG

"pls do not leave ur belongings unattended. if you seen any suspicious items, please contact the mrt staff or call 999."

and of course, there are these jack neo's ads in singlish which are replayed in every ten minutes interval.

do you find these messages extremely useful or do they get on your nerves?

wuming78 SG

not sure about usefulness but in the event that(touch wood) someone leaves a bomb n it explodes, at least we can say SMRT did not ignore the danger.

Devil1976 SG

Noisy... Next thing before you know it, they'll start to play advertisements..? Wonder if we commuters pay extra just to go through these 'sufferings'...? Rolling Eyes

Devil1976 SG

This topic also reminds me... Once in a while I'll hear some important(?) announcements... But one DAMN STUPID thing is... These 'announcements' made are SO SOFT that people simply can't hear what was said when the train's moving underground... By the time the train stops to a station? I can only hear a "THANK YOU..."

And can see all the people in the train with Confused ?? Look on their faces...

the Bear SG

okay.. the security ones, maybe necessary..

the jerk neo ones... for the love of GOD, KILL THEM!!!

my iRiver is on all the time now.. to a "too loud" setting Mad
