BADMINTON OUTING 10TH APRIL 2004 SATURDAY

www SG

i personally dont like the term tbc as well but thats seperate matter.

frankly, i was given the impression that the court is booked.

shouldnt a cancelled message be posted one day prior to the stipulated date if it is meant to be?

It's a good thing that you didn't make it, I sort of thought it was off too? But it wasn't officially called off... Not posted nor a single sms message from the organisor... Well... I thought I've given my words and travelled an hour's trip to Yio Chu Kang only to realise that no court was booked half an hour after the supposingly meet up time.... Organisor finally replied an sms to one of us who happens to have her contact no., and told us she can't make it... Told us no court was booked and to 'enjoy' ourselves...? Rolling Eyes

ANYWAY... It was quite a fun game though I played badly that day...

Thanks Swatchie for gathering up the rest of the 'lost sheeps'... Mr. Green

Swatchie's friend and Tony for their company...

i understand where u are coming from as there werent much affirmative answers from the lot even till the very last minute, which i personally dislike as well.

however, you stated the date, time and place, which makes it pretty much like a confirmed outing.

on top of that, there is no stating of if the event is to be carried out.

80% might take it that there is no outing. how about the remaining 20% optimists like what happened last saturday?

wouldnt a simple post such as "i cant get too much responses from this outing and i cant get anyone to book the court for me. i'm afraid i will have to cancel it." save all misunderstandings?

let's take it as a lesson learnt by both organisers and participants to be.

Aiya .. neber mind la ... always good 2 learn from mistakes ...

Actually wuz hopin actually to receive sms from elawee (PMed my contact 2 her) before making my way there ... but didn't receive any Sad
for such outings, I think there's a need to really sms one another on dat day itself or when we reach there, so dat we noe who and where to meet

MoonIce SG

Aiya... Guess you also don't have much experience in organising? Confused

Next time just at least post a 'CANCELLED' at least on day in advance, or sms us? You have our contact, we don't have yours.. You 'diam diam', end up nobody can possibly figure out what had happened?
