I am very surprised at the video. Frankly, I dun think the RX-8
can outrun the DC5. The Torque for for the RX8 is too low to be
considerable a threat to other cars. 216Nm is way, way too low.
Mazda cars are sadly often underpowered.
In addition, Mazda is well known for over stating its car's power.
Take a look at the Mazda/RX8 forums around the world. It is stated
as 231bhp, it is probably around the low 200bhp. The 231 is at
7500-9000 rpm........imagine how much petrol u have to use to reach
that!
The car with the doors open at Suntec is not the one that Mazada
motors will bring in. THe interior colour patches, leather and
steering wheel will not be on the model. That is a Type S with
around 250bhp. That Model is of a higher-spec. Clever of Mazda
Motors to play such a gimmick. The real one that will be sold is
the red car. U look inside and u will discover that the interior is
different.
Yup the car is said to be heavy drinker, even more than that of the
lengendary Evo.
Credit must be given to Mazda though for such a evolutionary design
and the rotary engine.
