M SG 1st guess: Macs use RISC architecture processors, could the average peecee hardware be compatible with OSX kernel? even if it could, would the OS be fully harnessed? 2nd guess: it'd undermine the future of their proprietary powerpc hardware given the alternative of a cheaper pc. 3rd guess: the whole apple package is just exclusive & cool, expensive but cool.
FireIce SG new kid on the block S6210 Centrino 1.5ghz wireless 11b/g 256mb ram 60GB HDD IBM T41 oso not bad.......
M SG XP is just packed with UI features, still the same underlying, just bloated. my ol' peecee, 650 Athlon, 384 ram still handles w2k fine, would choke on XPee for sure.
[email protected] SG how about a notebook? going for 50 cents in popular bookstores. oh yah speaking of laptops.... who can recommend a good powerful one? must start looking for one to bring over to UK.
Parka SG All are good and powerful. Power is directly proportionally to the amount of money you have. hahah One thing to take note is the international warranty, because you're taking your notebook out of the country.
Parka SG desktop of course cheaper than notebook. I think the prices are almost the same around the world.
the Bear SG get the Sony one.. comes with DVD-RW both + and -, 120GB HDD, 2.8GHz P4, UXGA monitor, and loads of other crap onboard.. only thing that prevented me from getting it was the $5.8k pricetag
www SG have u ever thought that, with the same amt of money for an S series, it can be spent on a B or C series with better specs? in another words, we are paying more for a lighter laptop.
FireIce SG yah....but i carry to and fro work eberyday leh......... dun think i need to train my muscles by weight-lifting a C-series.... i dun mind a C-series as desktop replacement.......... but for mobility and my ligament-sake, i can oni go for S-series.......
