It just an pattern that certain group of singaporean are excel in different area, for example, Malay in the area of art/music and sport like Sepak takraw or Soccer etc, Indian in IT/Technical area while Chinese in business or government job. In fact, for example if you asked an chinese whether IT skills is his interest, most possibly his answer will be something like it is 'sian' (boring in singlish), or they have enough of IT. That why from my experience, it is just an matter of interest that certain group will only do jobs they prefer and not really because their 'rich bowl' is being taken away.

And I noticed recently, food seem to be the only thing which united Singaporean and foreigners alike. and people always use their smartphone to take snapshot of food and post it in social media, regardless of race.

I remembered this incidence clearly. It took place in the 80s. There were silent activation to recall the respective reservists. Weapons all drawn out, in full SBO and on high stand-by. Personally I quite like our Malay friend except their religion. Because their religion causes us to eat our meals seperately hahaha. This is a pain in the ass. I am a free thinker. So I guess I am more receptive to different religion. My Christian friend can't say the same hahaha.

It depends to the Muslim individuals and many too eat together at the same table with their Non-Muslim colleagues that are eating pork or Non-Halal food. I'm one of them. I see this thing happens in Malaysia most of the time. I am a universal man. I have a brother who is a Christian and a Sister who is a Hindu. Both my decease Muslim parents went to Haj twice. I'm half Chinese and half Malay.

But you have missed the point. Here I am talking about Foreigners (Indian Nationals) taking over locals jobs. The confusion generated may resulted in racial disharmony.

Local people including or rather mainly PAP supporters are very confused. They thought that every Indian Nationals arrived in Singapore and the next day they are already Singaporeans. facepalm /.

PAP leaders can't run away from their responsible if their policy of bring in Indian Nationals to dominate our Finance Industry resulted in other Singaporeans envy and get angry and causes racial disharmony. They might have mistaken Indian Nationals to be local Indians hahaha. If PAP supporters are confused then most likely the rests will be confused too unlike you think PAP supporters are more stupid hahaha.

I'm not a PAP supporter but mind you this should opposition parties govern Singapore they will face this issues too.

Are you working in the Finance Industry in Singapore?

Singapore is an open economy and Singapore delegation has invited Indian companies to invest in Singapore and vise versa for Singapore companies to invest in India too. There are quite a number of Indian companies presence in Singapore and perhaps you are misluded to conclude that most of the key positions in the financial industry are occupied by Indian nationals. They will bring in their own people from India to oversee and run their companies key business positions here before they employ local Singaporeans should they intend to expand their business operations here. Singapore companies operating in Indian sub-continent will do likewise…this is one of the business strategy.

Indian nationals are mostly employed in the IT Industry in Singapore. Financial Industry are mainly dominated by professionals from the Western countries.

Actually I am a property agent. Every 100 condo tenants I come across 90 are Indian Nationals (Foreigners). They are mostly if not 100% employed in the Banking Industry. They could be senior bankers or software engineers but all the same the fact is they are all working in the Banking Industry. So I am very alarmed.

You are making a lot of wild guesses while mine is all first hand info. That is the different my friend.

racial harmony is an important & danerous issue in singapore we don't need outsiders to stir shit in our singaporean's own internal affairs ( you know who you are ) i stand strongly for racial harmony eg. if a chinese say something bad about other races he will get a rude reply from me ( i m a chinese )

regarding foreign talents singapore is a small country with a small population compare to russia, china & america who are always the top few in olympic games as they have a large population . if anyone wants a certain post in the corporation work hard for it not just sit around complaining. you think about it would you want to pay more tax for a foreign talent if you can get a local with the same talent ? in the end we have only ourselve to be blame

Dear Sir, I one man show here. No statistic. Please ask PAP govt for statistic. That is their areas of responsibilities I am sure.

Due to our government Finance Ministry biased policies in encouraging India Citizens to immigrate here , the following condo have been conquered by india citizens :
(I only know east side of Singapore)
1. Melville Park (The Chinese restaurant here has been converted to Indian restaurant)
2. Hawaii Tower (Almost 100% India Citizens now)
3. The Makena (Look at the pool and you know that There are more India Citizens than Singaporeans)
4. The Waterside (This is one of the first condo conquered by them)
5. Haig Court (One of the best freehold condo in the East is getting away from Singaporeans slowly but surely)
6. Fernwood Tower (At least 80% gone by looking at the people around the pool)
7. Mandarin Garden ( This is a very big condo but still it is slowly conquered by them outsider from India)
8. Eastpoint Green (This is also going away from Singaporeans at a faster rate than I wish)
9. Changi Rise (This is also one of their favourites. It is a spill-over from Melville Park)

Previously these were all belong to Singaporeans. Now they are mostly not.

I am sure there are more but I can't remember all off hand. So Singaporeans please be aware and be alerted to the change our Finance Ministry is making.

i said before the foreigners have the talent in their trade due to their large populations which singaporean lack, more people the percentage of the talent in that trade increase. there are jobs nobody wants to do when foreigners take up the job people start complaining,

when you specifically mentioned Chinese and Indian, you are generalizing and not very sensitive and it is this kind of generalization that is causing misunderstanding. don't blame the PAP or the garmen.

Bio Hawk is absolutely right about the ang moh, profit orientated and therefore either squeeze every drop out of local or replace them with cheap foreigners.

Before we continue to discuss, put race or nationality aside.

But Ang Moh number is still very small compared to Indian Nationals(Foreigners not Singaporeans mind you). So we have to tackle the more pressing issue. If 90 tenants out of 100 is Indian Nationals foreigners than we jolly well focus on them.

We cannot put nationality one side because we Singaporeans are being disadvantaged. If you put it one side then there is nothing to discuss anymore.

Very sure. Things are bad. Time bomb ahead. When I said Chinese envy I am using Chinese to represent Singaporeans but the fact is most of are Chinese lah. So my statement wont be way off target.

May be my explanation is not very clear. This is an issue of Foreigners(Indian Nationals) vs Locals but it can be easily transformed into a racial issue is all I am saying.

So we are in agreement here.
