Former PM Goh Chok Tong Marine Parade By-Election in 1992 is
different.
It is a 4 member GRC by-election, not a single member
constituency SMC by-election.
In the 1992 GRC by-election, it was a four party fight. As
usual, when there is any multi corner fight, PAP will win the
election.
PAP 48965 votes 72.3%
SDP 16447 votes 24.5%
NSP. 950 votes 1.4%
SJP. 764 votes 1.1%
The 1992 GRC by-election was held after the PAP lost 4 single
member constituency SMC in the 1991 general election.
