Why the GIC cannot disclose value of its assets

The old man will say: "You want to know the truth, can you handle the truth ?"

What if the truth collapsed the whole nice pictures that they have been painting so far, who is going to handle the loss in value in every thing ?

You ask for the truth, will you regret if you know the truth ?

Will you bear the responsibility of the possible consequences of the truth ?

If you sack all the elites in the board, who will be their replacement ?

Can you provide the answer ?

Think carefully before you ask or you may live to regret.

GIC linked to the government in power, if they refuse to disclose the public has no way to force them to.

That is the result of voting by the 60.1 percent.

GIC can't disclose the value of its assets because they may be involved in illicit deals for all we know.

A side note, the CEO of UBS resigned. At least there is someone who is willing to take responsibility like a man and fall on his own sword.

Well, our GIC chairman also resigned ya, but he make sure he become President of Singapore first.

With MIW and also a former govt Investment arm chairman being the President now, do you think they will disclose it to you?? neh neh long long....

And even if they will to disclose, it is going to be a full disclosure or make to believe??

If GIC did not use our money to invest, I will not want to know what's happening inside out or outside in.

If GIC did use our money to invest, then I hv the right to know what profits and losses they have so far.

Publicity is the very soul of justice. It is the keenest spur to exertion, and the surest of all guards against improbity. It keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial.

In the darkness of secrecy, sinister interest and evil in every shape, have full swing. Only in proportion as publicity has place can any of the checks, applicable to judicial injustice, operate. Where there is no publicity there is no justice. -Jeramy Bentham
