Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has nominated Member of Parliament
(MP) for Punggol East Michael Palmer to be elected as the next
Speaker of Parliament when Parliament opens on Oct 10, 2011.
Mr Lee has briefed the People's Action Party MPs on his nomination.
