Hi,can i know what the different between evo 9 MR RS,,,,evo 9,,,,evo 9MR

At my house area there is one 1 mitsubishi EVO9 MR RS.The owner evertime go work around 12 to 2 PM,when he normally start his car engine i can hear it untill the 12th floor.And when he start to move the car there is an wired sound came from the engine.some time can hear like the engine going to drop.i only manage to get the car picture from the back view.will try to get the front view by tomorrow

any one know the owner??

probably might be exhaust mounting loose or something. rattling usually does not signify that the engine is going to fall out.

exhaust, or possibly, floor panels.

yes,it came from the car

somemore when the owner came back, park his car .after he get out from the car and lock and walk away.the engine still running about less than 10 sec the engine stop by its own.

that's probably due to the use of a turbo timer. i'm not exactly apt to describe how it works, but i hear that cars with higher pressure turbos need a run down time after they stop the car, before they can shut off the engine. the turbo timer is probably doing that.

no i hear the wired noise came from the engine when the owner acclerate to move the car.if he did not acclerate then i only hear the exhaust sound only ..

the exhaust is connected to the engine mah. sometimes the mounting is not tight or got screw loose, the exhaust rumbling makes it vibrate.

stock is just a term to say that something isn't modified, it's factory original.

all those meters there are usually for deco purposes only.

things like oil pressure, oil temp, etc. and unless you're really a professional race driver or technician, you don't exactly need those gauges.

Actually, to be fair enough, if you go tracking, you will need such info, especially Oil Pres/Water Temp.

Not to mention the standard Boost/Vacuum meters.

Since you mention TOMEI, then most likely not stock. Tomei does aftermarket performance parts for a few japanese sports cars.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but basically in layman terms, for the IX,

GT - Lower spec 5 spd manual

GSR - Higher/Normal spec 6 spd manual

MR - Highest spec 6 spd manual

RS - Useless stuff taken out / bare minimum, track-ready slightly more hard core version. 5/6 spd manual?.

Spec not referring to engine, but more of interior/exterior amenities, etc etc.

Probably clutch sound. Twin plate/Triple plate, SURE noisy.
