The lowliest rank in society is not necessarily defined by what job they do, or how much they earn, but by what they contribute to the society. The social workers, the nurses, the bus drivers....they bring more joy and happiness to more people they serve everyday. Call me idealistic, hmmm...but that happen in the world we live in.

So are all the students, enterpreneurs, managers and teachers you can find in Singapore . everyone is doing their part defending this country . even FT . but not in traditional sense that everyone gotta handle a gun in order to be called "defending country" .

A lot actually settled in Singapore . trust me much more will when they reached the living standard they wanted which they cant find back home . they will . and what say you when they become citizen and hold our pink card too ? many Singaporeans also go overseas to study . london US germany dubai hongkong taiwan et cetera . and a lot of them are not returning home as well . this is what is happening global . people are moving and going towards better life . fight your own if you want a taste of some . if you are already happy with your condition and do not see the reason to fight . dont complaint so much about how others are fighting to get an edge for themselves .

You are saying "Singapore GDP Growth is not driven by new business ideas and Increased work efficiency" . buy some books and read .

not happy that it seems to be only benefitting the elites and corporations ? fight to be one of the elites . simple .

But the truth is . GDP growth does affect all singaporeans . it contributed for all the primary, secondary and tertiary infrastructures we have too . including our MRT and market price .

Some FT has class . majority dont . lets just say that is just the way it should be . there are more common graduates than cum laude graduate . if all the FT who came in are selected from the 'elites group' in their homeland and you do not import the lower class FT then you will see all the manager, supervisor, CEO, CFO, directors position disappear from our singaporean grasp .

by that time . imagine . would you not be here complaining about that instead ?

My point is . fight . do not complain . if you see them that good . you die die fight to surpass them . if you see them no good . then you have nothing to complain .

I have survived . in education standard . in job standard . in social status standard . surely you are not perceiving the 'fight' as barbaric clobbering fists fight . and YES it really is about survival of the fittest just not the kind of survival idea presented latter . if it is home . more reason to fight . everybody want to be number 1 . even as kids or should I say as sperm . we are already naturally programmed to be number 1 .

Yes . it is . I am their investment the day they decided to nurture me . to spend a lot of time in order to get me on the right track . to give me good education and shower me with love . in order for their investment not to become unemployee in the future . in order for their investment to flourish . and when I got married and have great job and they see that we have harmony at home . they know their investment all those years have indeed paid off .

This is the way to see it aside from being emotionally attached and blind your mind and say "unconditional love" .

Because when somebody do something they do expect something out of it and when it does plays out as we expected . that is the profit/benefit . when I give help to the needy I expect he/she would suffer less . when I tell jokes to the orphans I would want them to feel less sorrow . when I donate to the cancer foundation I expect they would see some light . when I pray to god . I would want peace in the world . and when I pray and wish to god . I would like it to be granted .

Thats what I was trying to explain . that the survival of the fittest nowadays does not necessarily mean tarzan, rambo, or monkey king . everyday duty is our way of fighting for better living .
