nasi brani is indian food ?
No, in fact, when i was i india, i cannot find nasi brani, but
there is sort of rice look quite the same, but vege in style,
called Pongal, most of northern indian good foods are vegetarian,
whereas only the southern india eat more mutton, in fact, the hindu
indian take chicken more and the muslim indian takes on mutton
more, but there are lots of vegetarian peoples in india. The word
Nasi is already a malay word, and Brani, like pulau Brani, or Brani
Naval base is also Malay in all due respect.
Singapore indian foods stall are mostly open by Indian muslim,
these attract the malays, but like the hindi india who dun take
beef, indian muslim also try not to eat beef. Foods like Indian
Rojak, Nasi Brani, roti John, or roti Mary, Mee Goreng, mee hoon
goreng, nasi goreng etc etc are mostly Local food, a combination of
Malay and indian creation. If you go India and ask for roti John,
which i did, they will ask you "Who is John??, you want to order
roti for yr friend John?"
