Cause most of the people form their opinions based on others'. Less
less than 20% form independent opinions. That is why managing
public sentiments through state-media is still VALUED by
them. They like to use phrase like 'so and so
agrees' to the same effect.
So the time between now and the day when the mass
'de-link' from the state-media starts, like
what is happening now in North Korea, whether there is going
to be a major revamp within the state-media or a major
clampdown of the internet like no more youtube,
only time will tell
