Everyone knowsthat is is easier insingapore to get a PR or
citizenship as compared to say western nations for those from 3rd
world countries. I have pondered about this. the Govt always claim
competition for talents, economy is the root cause but let me put
it this way.
Actually not many people want to migrate to singapore due to the
many rules and tight restrictions on way of living ect. So the PAP
govt had to ensure that they get migrants and not lose them to
other countries.
But the bitter thing is that, The other countries eg western
countries have better prospects for the migrants than singapore ofr
a variety of reasons : higher wages, social security, higher
standard of living, better employment opportunities.
Its because of the life in SG everyone is leading that puts off
many people and the citizenship paper like toilet paper.
Improve the singapore way of life and many will queue for
citizenship. Abolish the weird HDB, NS rules, monoploy ect..and
many others.
