a small problem will become big if it is ignored - it is the
same mentality faced by many empires of the past who thought they
are impregnable..invincible...but when a tumultuous event
hits on its very core, it collapses with the surprise and disbelief
of all.
The vicious cycle of history will often repeat. A social or
economic problem does not subsist mainly due to the general
indicators of food and water or any other superficial indexes, and
it is well known fact that economists often fare badly than top
notch traders who feels the actual beats of the market than stuck
in ivory towers.
Opposition is a good barometer to indicate relatively how strong
the existing govt and the strength and quality of oppositions. It
also shows how reactive and concerned are the public towards
country affairs. It needs to be there no matter how weak or strong
they are...its only a matter of time (but not now) they could grow
more powerful depending on the leadership...and i m sure they are
planning and plotting real hard and strike when time is right (as
long as LKY is alive) - goes without saying....
