I am planning to take over a RX-7 from a frend, i dunno how much is it worth in the market now. Can anyone tell me roughly how much i shld pay?

I fell in love with the car, very powerful and shiok to drive, but can anyone tell me the mainteniance costs? very high or extremely high?

Dear Bro,

I guessed i'm the right person to tell u cos i've driving the FD (1995) for about a year.

First and most importantly, u must have a fat wallet becoz if u are looking at a car that guzzles fuel. The rotaries are the culprits.

As mine was modified, I doono bout your fren's, but if it's stock, a little could prolly get you 5.5 to 6km per litre. Mine's around 4.5...

This is very important, although the car is cheap (e.g., road taxes) and feels really good (e.g., the power, the look), fuel consumption is a fault with this otherwise good make.

Be prepared to spend up to a few hundred dollars a week, heavy user be perpared to spend THOUSANDS!!!!/WEEK!!!

that is it, if you're prepared, go ahead and get one.

thats more shit you can imagine (e.g., very speclialized and ex service, hard to get parts).

Its hard to retro fit a new engine into that car... unless you had the Gs to do so... if its the same engine and parts, depending which year you have to be prepared for high mantainance... you might want to do a new paint job as well... Wink

1st...te 1 u buying over is it red in colour, i dunno how old but the lights is open up 1 issit....cos my friend say got ppl mayb wan to buy, scally you r te 1...lol.den singapore is really very small liao...

RX7, fast, poderful...engin spin & spin, wil also mean it spin a hole into ur pocket.... Laughing ...

If u really going to buy, better check te engin condition 1st, dun wait the engin "piang" den i tel you, ur pocket & head sure spin lik te engin, farking expensive to save,te piston also need to check,my friend say per month his car drink petrol close to sg$1.4k.....i dunno lah, but from te way i see when he drive wid me,everytime "tiak" my friend rex,i feel it may be more den tis amount....

If u get tis car ,God wil say Good,you hv made your mark, improving urself ...but if ur car anything happen,"touch wood 1st" den God will say" Bless You Wallet...."

my frend overseas, will be back next week. so i dunno which year. but plate is if not wrong EZ$$$$ something. the comsmetic appearance is not dat great.

is the type u walk past in the day at a public carpark, u wont take a 2nd glance.. but i dun care the looks cos a new coat of paint would do the trick...

but the 1.4k/month petrol?!? i m stunned Shocked so jialat ah??
dat means i can chalk up a lot of SMILES points... lol

Rotaries have no pistons!!!!

I bought mine at 65k with 3 years left. FD3S.

From the way u told me, yrs should be a savanna (pop-up lights), generate 1 fleet iof 7s.

The market now is dirt cheap

Me fren selling at onli 5k with a year left on COe. Those with Coe will costs around $35,000++

Thats a small smaple to pay, wat ya paying will be the superb EX petrol!!! at least 1k a month ah....
