yup......they are losers in terms of technology but they have
litium needed to make batteries in cell phone, coal to provide heat
and industries, uranium for power plants, gold in all forms yet to be
u covered all over oz..... etc etc. in it.
their jobs are not really value added....more like primitive.its
like u just stumbled upon a group of cavemen who need
money and they have gold inlaid on walls of cave.
towns are meant to be developed and industries are made using
the american model which is successful.the oz version has none and
their industrial might is some dump truck with soil and dirt.they
have no industrial might unlike the usa who uses some
intelligence.all they do is dig the soiul...put into some furnace
and presto.....out comes their product...it is a crude primitive
industry even Attila the hun would agree.
its their people...high crime rate, poor genetics n poor
characters.but are turned into upright and rich by the stuff they
have on land.something very similiar to PAP spore 1970-2009.
U are quick to shoot yr words out. Think logically before put
down others country. Aussie jobs are much more value added than
Singapore's and there are lots of types jobs which are not found in
Singapore too.
Pls take a look at www.career.com.au or seek.com.au
What is yr definition of value added? Despite the Singapore's
current "breakthru" economic policies, they failed to create value
added jobs. it all the same old menial jobs withlower
pay now. The true value added aspect of a job is its progression
aspects, renumeration package and benefits.
About the natural resources is true, but isnt that the same with
all other countries too, including US ?If u go to US they still
also use dirt trucks to dig up things on the ground to make your
apple iphones.
U are not getting the real picture of economy here. Economy in
its true sense is driven by gold, oil, agriculture and
minerals . These create jobs, from financial to technological. In
thats sense Australia is a natural economy driven by natural
inputs. Singapore's a freak economy which relies heavily on market
pricing, speculation, property market, security, foreign
investment, monetary flow ect.Such an economy is nothing but
a gambling game and will face numerous problems. The aussies
have the natural economic model
Raw materials> market, jobs, business> economy
But is Singapore any better? Ask yourself this Qn. If u look at
sleek tall buildings, flashy trains and buses ect and say Singapore
is developed than Aussie land, i feel sorry for u. These things
came about through exploitation of cheap foreign laborer in the
1970s.
