I was referring to your comment about the stock STi cornering better than a stock Evo. Because I've NEVER come across any review in any respectable publication that suggests the STi is the better handling car than the Evo, with the possible exception of the Spec C (and that's mainly attributable to the better suspension setup and lighter weight).

Even between the 8 and 7, there's a huge difference in handling due to the SAYC. Now that MR is here, it will be even faster in corners due to the remapped AYC/ACD ECU, better OEM Bilstein suspension and aluminium roof.

Definitely. Shiv says it robs the car of 25 bhp when it's running, but look at it this way: if you're hot, sweaty and bothered, you can't concentrate on driving properly. Which could be much worse than losing some power.

sg cant run in peace… zzz traffic light here and there… imagine u zhua until high high liao, then suddenly red light… have to jam brake hard hard.. zzz brake pad also gone fast.. lol

Look at the Thunderhill result. Kozarov, Flaherty Evo was stock. Despite having a 134 bhp and 172 Nm disadvantage (maybe even more... no one knows how much power the Vettes were making), the Evo was actually faster than the Z06 by 6 seconds. Either the Evo is pulling more than 1.03 G's or all the other competitors can't drive.

maybe due to the low compression ratio?
may have something to do with having less cylinders also. the porsche flat 6s have 6 pistons, the subaru boxer has 4 only.
