The main reason why I write this is to address increasing
poverty due to the increased competition for jobs in Singapore,
i.e. the increasing difficulty for survival and
livelihood.
It seems that nowadays more people have become less employed due
to fiercer competition.
Do you know why the CDCs and MPS are here?
It is so that people don't result in committing social problems
because of financial problems. Social problems are stealing,
bootlegging, borrowing from loansharks, gambling, drug trafficking
or even suicides. If rates of these matters were to increase due to
recession, does it reflect well on the Singapore society?
Let me ask you, is it better to have the caning and death
penalty to solve crimes, or solve poverty to solve crimes? This is
unless crimes are committed due to greed and temper.
I think the efforts of the applicants have been overlooked due
to increased competition and they should be addressed to ensure
survivalibility. It is so that employment and skills do not go to
waste!
