i personally don't have much, i don't need much, and frankly,
i'm a simple bear at heart.. with simple needs.. 
btw.. the storming of the Bastille? you romanticise it.. there
was a lot of blood spilt..
and after that, even more blood was spilt... innocent blood
spilt by those who decided that their neighbour should lose their
right to life because they were not "revolutionaries"
and really.. do you have the right to make the decisions to
"lose everything" for others?
one of the main tenants of democracy is that the majority cannot
vote away the rights of the minority.. that is so basic even the
bleached zombie Lau Lee knew it.. he said that your right to
swing your arms about ends where my nose begins..
so, if your neighbour disagrees with you, and doesn't want to
destroy, would you burn his house down?
if so, then i would say that it is not democracy or anything,
but a blind rage fuelled by fascism and selfishness..
and that same blind rage leads you to a vulnerablity where your
fellow rioters will probably hate you somewhere along the line and
lynch you.. it happened in the French Revolution.. it happens in
almost every revolution...
I know you fear your wealth being destroyed by oppositions being
voted in, I empathized with you. 
Blind rage? Sorry, don't think I have any blind rage, just
reason and logic. I can't do anything when you mistaken reason and
logic with blind rage. You are entitled to your opinions about PAP
and everything else, no matter how wrong they seemed to be.
Like I said, change doesn't go down with folks who had it good
with this current regime. If you go ask around in Eastern
Europe, where the communist regime used to rule and was
overthrown. I am sure there are some who still wish that they were
under the communist rule, because though many are marginalised by
communist rule, there are some who benefited from it.
