That's obvious isn't it?Just step out of your house. again touch your heartif you can be kpkb abt this, why not make a change for it?As for NS, think back wa...

leilan84 SG

Socialist, what do you think about my proposal to shorten NS to 1-1.5 years?

I think that will be less disruptive to the lives of Singapore men.

Another big problem is the reservist cycle. IPPT, RT are the most disruptive part.

I will go for 6 - 9 months and on top of that drop the bloody reservist thingy.

Ah Chia SG

2 years! training is only like 6 months and for 6 months, half the time is wasted on waiting! Don't you agree?

My proposal is to shorten NS to 1-1.5 years.

You are more radical than me.

leilan84 SG

My proposal is to shorten NS to 1-1.5 years.

I've personally been thru N.S. I know that 6 months is just enough to do the job if they can cut short the waiting and screw up.

Ah Chia SG

They need a certain number of active troops, that's why so long service.

I understand this motive, so my proposal is not that radical.

I did a check and found that Singapore NS of 2 years is one of the longest in the world.

I mean what the fuck is that?

But whenever i look back at my NS life i was like WTF? 2 years in service, 1.5 years doing paper work!? O.o

I understand what you mean. However, I believe that after 6 months of training a guy can be operational for 5-10 years.

the reason why they want u to serve 2 year national service because they can save more money paying u peanut allowance service pay $350 combat pay $450 if all singaporean dont want to serve the nation then government would have to employ all the full time regular that cost more $$$ is all about $$$ furthermore the nsf dont get year end bonus so the 2 year national wasting time too bad u have to be singaporean i suggest u migrate to other country if u dont want to surf the 2 year

Fantagf SG

could it be they feel more secure with longer ns?

leilan84 SG

could it be they feel more secure with longer ns?

nah... it's actually just cheap labour after the training period. most of the time arrows will shoot down from the top to the nsf to do the paper work and sai kang. NSF = sai kang warrior.

That's the reason why most of our nsf don't free proud about ns.
