I recall vaguely last year, there was this PR who wrote to ST
forum asking that PRs should be given equal benefits with citizens
since they also contribute as much to the economy.
I think she got a lot of flak from online citizens.
I wonder why ST chose to publish her letter to stir up
emotions.
Anybody remember the case? 
I think the letter is meant for equal rights in buying new HDB
flats. Anyway she used to be on scholarship to study nursing in
Australia. If u read the paper, MM Lee told us that foreign
professional important to the country, considering that many locals
refused to give birth. The idea to get foreign professional
to come to solve the population is shortage is short term as most
of them will go back to their countries or go to other
countries.
