Pl reach a conslusion after assessing all aspects of info.

Do not take one sided view!!

In SG,if u can stay in HDB and pay S$250,000 for a HDB 4 room type flat (90 m2),

u can stay there even u has 3 kids and a maid.

In HK,how long can u stay in a 55 meter sq flat

(the space u can put furniture) of abt S$ 950,000

with your spouse,one kid and one maid?Not to mention 2 kids lah...This is

called a "900 sq ft " flat in HK!!

Yes,i am comparing HK private with SG HDB.

In HK,public resale is also not cheap!!

In Ma On Shan---HK 1.88 mil or S$ 420,000,gross 711 sf ,est net area 590 sf.

or 55 m2.

with S$420k in SG,u can get a 5 room HDB flat (110 to 120 m2) in some locations

or a 4 rm flat in better locations (90 m2).I am talking abt norm,not extreme

case.So,property in SG is more affordable!

Pl note with S$200,000 to 300,000,u can get a direct flat from HDB

and stay for many years!!The units are big enough for 5 to

6 family members!!

property prices here in Singapore varies very much from district to district... of course a very good location unit here will cost about $5000 psf which adds up to around $5,000,000 for a 2 bedroom...

it is common knowledge that Hong Kong property prices are really crazy... a unit at the Peak in Hong Kong will set you back S$100 million... that is true, undisputed fact. i've just went to Hong Kong in June and yes, it's nuts but other items are priced reasonable like groceries and necessities. that i have no complain... the food there is also very very affordable. i bought 1 roast duck for S$12 and each meal will cost me about HK$20 at those coffee shop that includes tea and sometimes dessert.
