why dun u define poor in singapore? some people are rich, but
poor in mentality, poor in understanding life, and poorer in self
discipline and motivation. As long as the country provide you jobs,
shelter, foods, medical and even a computer to get on. You call
that poor??

Poor in understanding life and poorer in self-discipline and
motivation - will keep them poor, can anyone be rich under such
circumstances ?
Is it the fault of those who are born out of such circumstances
and remained trapped by the default circumstances of their

You go to any government clinic or hospital with a sickness and
they dun admit you and cure you just because of you got no money,
then you come and talk to me. The PAP motto is to cure first, talk
later.
Even the PAP Member of Parliament cannot help a penniless
Singapore, and you think your father will allow you to use your Bar
collections to help Singaporeans ?
You must be overdosed with alcohol to believe that the PAP motto
is to cure first, talk later - when the PAP had
originally begun as a
Malayan Forum formed by English speaking Singaporeans educated in
England.
To prevent being arrested by the British Special Branch, they
formed a political party called - Action Party.
The "People" was added later as an after-thought to become
People's Action Party.
From the beginning, the "People" was never in the minds of those
who formed the Action Party and that has been the hallmark of the
PAP in their policies during their 52 years of political
domination.
Everyone will be given a shelter, everyone will be given an
opportunity to educate, work and build a family here, but if an
individual who seek to laze around and dun care even
himself/herself, there is nothing much the govt can do, our culture
is not like to west 1st world, we give our people the rod to fish
and not fish for them.

If Singaporeans are truly educated, the PAP will be worried for
the political challenges that they will surely face from a thinking
and intelligent population with high standards of expectations.
It is due to the fact that the kind of education that
Singaporeans are brought up with in 52 years of PAP domination has
resulted in the constant PAP complaints in the lack of
talent, the lack of creativity and the lack of
entrepreneurialship.
