Pretty much gave up on local media having any accuracy with local news. I think they do a better job reporting foreign news.

a...oh, they can rent a flat, buy a big MPV car to use as home and also can go around, just sleep inside at night, or as you said, built tents at ECP, west coast or Changi.

When you say good SG news though, i'm guessing you're being sarcastic and trying to say only good news are reported?

I guess bad foreign news is a tat hard to define, though my intention is not to say you're wrong.

There's so much angles to the story i can't really tell whether it's good or bad these days.

well, the way peoples are complaining that our newspapers are state control or state times, i wonder how come peoples still read it...guess most are trying to catch the loopholes and comments on the reports to criticise further rather than agrreeing with the reports. Why not just forget it, dun read it, dun buy it, let see how SPH survive.

They only said stop building 1- and 2-room flats not 3-room flats. But now they are starting to build 1- and 2-room flats. This isn’t a good sign as it means we are getting poorer. How sad!

People cannot afford 4 or 5 room flats so have to downgrade to 3 room or smaller lor.

Mind you, a 3 room HDB resale costs on average around quarter of a million these days.

HDB has forgotten its mission when they first started...something about providing affordable housing for singaporeans (somewhere along that line)

These days all you hear about HDB is that they are offering those high end built to order or some DBSS scheme whereby flats cost like half a million or more.

And then once in a while, they will say they have some cheap 3 room flats at some ulu place for sale.

HDB is not the only one that has forgotten its original mission. There are many others like NTUC, Comfort but the mother of all is the PAP gahmen!
