WP holder not allow to drive event has valid converted SG

WP holder not allow to drive on Singapore, even they had taken Basic theory from LTA, passed change to Singapore Driver ID card

recently TP / LTA has been taking action on WP holder on road,

strang things, is that they are using MOM act to charge these worker.

mainly due to these WP holder, their permit card did not include "Driver" on the WP,

many WP holder has been send home due to these reason.

the Bear SG

the MOM is only trying to protect the WP holder...

if he is made to drive and things happen, the insurance will refuse to pay out..

and the WP holder, if made to drive, will also be saddled with more responsibilities which he will not be paid for...

in this way, MOM is trying to get the employers to be more honest when they are hiring their workers...

zaxis SG

then how come "catching party" is LTA / TP?

it should be MOM?

on the road he has valid driving document?

WP holder when through Basic theory test,

PASSED

convert to Singapore Driving ID card issue by traffic police

do they require to hang Probation sign during 1st year?

now is that they need to endorse @ MOM their WP green card to include "Driver"!

i'm just speculating.. but if it was really what i said, TP is doing "agency work"

imagine if MOM officers kena go do these checks.. they would have to increase the manpower to do the duplicate of what TP is doing...

then people like andyboy and the rest of the maniacs in SC would kpkb about it...

in fact, MOM not the one enforcing this would mean that they will kpkb that the MIW are at fault, blah blah...

look at it this way - ICA at the checkpoints check for everything.. cigarettes to Singapore Customs, drugs to CNB, animal smuggling to AVA... just like the Police - catch snakes send to zoo, catch illegal hawkers send to NEA...

agency work.. it reduces the headcount and improves efficiency...
