Cannot sleep, sometime, u work late and you find it hard to sleep
till late afternoon, now eating rice, and the usual case is
that when you start working, damn, you start to feel sleepy. Then
when i make a mistake in the cashier, dad will give me a hard
knock.
If you don't drink how can you sleep ?
If you cannot sleep after drinking, it shows you did not drink
enough with your customers, and set the tone for the evening.
As i said earlier, this crisis had let to more drinkers but only
a few glass and less hard liquor ordered, the main income is from
hard liquor, the profit margin can be 3 to 4 times. And worst is
the girls, they got less tips and guys are not calling them out
like last time, so guess we are also hit from left and right. But
then, we are quite ok, at least break even, so to speak. But
yesterday was quite low, guess it is Mother Day, most sg guys are
filial piety to both mother and wife. Dun expect them to bring Mom
to my Pub.
When times are bad, one has to be more creative to extract the
maximum from what is available. If there are more drinkers but only
a few glasses are bought by each customer - you should be more
creative to entice them to buy more at lower prices, which will
result in larger volume of returns.
Many businesses continue to be dogmatic by insisting on fixed
profit margins per bottle, and fail to see that profit can be
increased by volume sales when prices are lowered slightly.
Other methods can be created to improve the less noticed effects
that can lead to higher drinking - such as a more comfortable
environment provided by clean air, side-line competitive games and
entertainment that inflate proud ego of the drinkers.
In this world, everyone got it own principles just as everyone
got their own opinons and asses, and when you are those die hard
type who dun see eyes to eyes in other people opinons and
disrespect their principles just to uphold your egostic
principles, that is it, conflict take places, therefore, you
hv to be flexible in your principles and opinons, respect others
opinons, then life will be more peaceful. I am not ruthless, in
fact i am a nice cheerful gal with a twist of teasing humors, many
like me here. Even a bore guy can converse with me freely, cos i
alway have topic to speak up, and usually it will end shouting,
cursing and fighting for each rights, but in the end, they go
home happy. And they like come again, cos they want the Angel to
argue with them again.
Opinions are constantly corrected and new ones formed with new
information.
Nothing is ever permanent.
Opinions when pushed into the public domain are subject to
reviews and comments, and if you cannot hold your position but
prefer to be dogmatic about a wrongly held position, you can only
open yourself to a barrage of ridicule and criticism.
If you value your opinion and have the ability to substantiate
your point of views, stand to your ground and convince, persuade or
argue with the other side to accept your views. You could simply
walk away and accept the other side to hold a view that you see as
equally erroneous.
Double dealing happen everywhere and in every business, i
studied the watergate issue, the double agents of CIA and all those
history of Russian spies. Everybody and eveyone of us in our life
had to do a double dealing, the govt had to deal with the workers
and employers, the waiter have to deal with the customers and his
captain, men hv to deal with their career and family. I hv to deal
with my pub and the gals. I guess so do you, but the equation is to
strike a balance, if arm broker or stock broker you hv deal with
the seller and buyer, that is your jobs. And let me tell you
that in business, if you are spending your own money after 10 or 5
years of initial start up, you better close shop. Broker are the
most tongue twister of all, cos nothing belong to them, not the
arms, not the fish, not the stocks, etc etc, they are the middle
men, sell or buy, they earn from both side. But not everyone have
the capability to be a broker, you need the skill ya.
As the old saying goes - "learn to wipe your mouth, if you have
eaten something that you were not supposed to eat" - simply put :
"Don't get caught..."
Can a middle-man profit from both sides ?
One can squeeze a "seller" to the lowest price, then sell it at
the highest possible price that a "buyer" will pay - the only
profit made is from the "buyer".
Can we do a double-deal on the "seller" or the "buyer" - again
?
In life, it is dangerous to indulge in 'double-dealings' as it
betrays the trust and affect the character of the person.
Too much double-dealing will give you sleepless nights.
