It's not about the money involve, but the lives, precious human
lives.
It is the riskiest operation in the world, for we are tampering
with the brains and its minute functions. One mistake and both
precious lives would be gone. Neurosurgery is still in its infancy
yet, for there is still very very much that modern man has yet to
comprehand.
While it may be wrong to claim the ability to determine what
nature has intended for mankind, there still lies a possibility
that humanity armed with modern science may be able
to push that boundary to correct and rectify its flaws, as it
had attempted to many other minor sugeries conducted.
But Dr. Goh must be in mind, if he makes a mistake in the
surgery, there is no such thing as 'i did my best" and the patients
or patient died. They were living healthily when they went for the
operation. They are not guinea pigs and
no rational person will allow live humans as an
experiment, even in our quest for better scientific
knowledge.
Perhaps he should test his work and techniques on a few more
frogs or rats to be sure first? We're talking about
separating 2 joined functioning heads now, not some
surgery operation on one head.
Are you some farking
specialists more qualified, that has the authority to tell Dr Goh
what to do?
Whether he should or shouldn't
is something that he and the family decides. Not some bloody despot
or you.
