From Wayang Party:
It was revealed in court today that Ming Yi had approved several
loans to various staff of Ren Ci. Among them, was Dr Ong Seh Hong
who is currently the community hospital’s chief operating officer
and clinical director of Ren Ci Hospital and Medicare Centre. (read
article here)
The S$60,000 loan is understood to be the largest sum approved
by Ming Yi. It is not known whether the loan has been repaid.
Dr Ong claimed he was unable to comment on the matter now as the
trial is still ongoing.
All the public wants to know from Dr Ong is:
1. Why does he
need to borrow such a large sum of money from Ren Ci? As a medical
doctor and MP, he should have no problems forking out the money for
whatever purpose.
2. Does he know that it is both technically and morally wrong of
him to borrow the money from Ren Ci which is entirely funded by MOH
and donations from the public?
3. Has he returned the $60,000 to Ren Ci yet?
Had Ming Yi not gone to trial, we would never have known these
backdoor dealings which had been going on for a long time.
Did Singaporeans donate to Ren Ci just for its then CEO Ming Yi
to lend it to various staff including the $60,000 to PAP MP Dr
Ong?
If Ren Ci is
so rich to become a moneylender to its staff, why did it still have
to raise so much money year after year from publicity stunts,
charity shows and donation drives?
Every single cent in Ren Ci’s coffers should be used solely to
keep the organization running and nothing else! Dr Ong is already
drawing a monthly pay as Ren Ci’s Chief Operating Officer. Why does
he still need to borrow from Reni Ci?
We demand for immediate answers from Dr Ong. At the very least,
he should let us know if he has returned the sum of money to Ren
Ci. It will be incredulous if a simple “yes” and “no” answer to
such a direct question will have any bearing on the ongoing
trial.
