what bloody hell is needed to have ISA, the act?? Simply

ISA is the law that allows detention wihout trial for certain
cases (suspected terrorism, communism, whatever ism...) It raison
d'etre of the ISD. Think of it as S'pore's version of Gestapo or
Stasi.
