''Residents say some of the police roadblocks were set up
hours ahead of the approaching firefronts, but no attempt was made
to warn them the fires were coming and they should leave.

Country Fire Authority were unofficially tipped off to get out as quickly as
possible, despite there being no formal warning to
communities.

why they received no official warnings, despite police and the CFA
clearly knowing where the fires were and in which direction they
were heading.''
