Because Singapore is an export
oriented country. With the global economic crisis surfaces and
particularly in America where the Americans hesistant to spend
on consumer products, no doubt that the world economic would remain
stagnant for a period of time until the American’s banks resume
their lending policies.
Alternatively, the chinese people
in Mainland China should be encourage to spend to stimulate the
economic domestically and if possible to spend on foreign goods
which offer value for money and quality products.
Seriously i don't see the Chinese going to ever match the
American's consumption rate, at least not the current
generation.
